SVT-10D is equipped with two cylindrical springs of different hardness values and a viscous damper with adjustable damping coefficient. Under these conditions, a single-degree-of-freedom system can be tested in free vibration mode (without damping), and the natural frequency of the mass-spring system can be analyzed in presence of damping. The recording system (rotation speed: 10 RPM) enables determination of the spring stiffness (K) and damping coefficient (C) through practical experimentation and comparison with theoretical results.
SVT-10D is designed to evaluate free vibration of a single-degree-of freedom mass-spring system, with or without damping, allowing direct comparison between theoretical and practical results. The equipment also serves as an effective tool for training and studying single-degree-of-freedom vibration behavior.
