JTD-1000 has hydraulic operating mechanism that uses input power control technique, electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA), to control the load. Special motor and driver drives the oil pump thus increasing the actuator displacement accuracy. Feedback from jack displacement sensor ensures testing in very low speed (0.01 mm/min). This feature is normally quite hard to achieve or almost impossible in ordinary hydraulic systems. The EHA system needs no continuous full power operation (high heat loss); by lowering the motor run time, power consumption and depreciation of the machine decrease and there will be no need to have oil-cooling system. The very first feature the operators notice while working with JTD-600 is the unbelievable low noise of EHA system. The machine is designed so that proper adaptors (fixed or self-aligned) can be mounted on any point of the structure to carry out various tensile and compression tests (incremental unidirectional) or adaptors can be mounted by bolts embedded inside the jack body cost effectively. Load cell attached to the grip directly senses changes in the load during the test. When load is not measured by oil pressure, packing friction errors are eliminated, and using low profile load cell minimizes the lateral force effects; therefore the measurement accuracy increases while testing. Various tools and accessories complete with SANTAM software (user-friendly STM controller and advanced Jadoo) ensure tension, compression, bending, buckling tests, as well as stiffness measurement. Speed is precisely controlled by the feedback from non-contact linear encoder with high resolution (0.001 mm).

JTD-1000 is intended for applying tensile and compressive loads (incremental unidirectional) on any point of the structure or device cost effectively. Wall and ceiling responses to static loads, analysis of the stress on various points of the structure, as well as testing different parts of the structure are among other applications of JTD-1000.
