(Including tensile, bending, torsion, hardness, and impact testing for flat and round steel sections, pipes and profiles, tanks, bolts and nuts, spring wire, wire rope, PC wire and PC strand, electrodes and welds, locks and chains, steel ropes, pellets, briquettes, etc.)
Today, modern steelmaking methods—such as Basic Oxygen Steelmaking (BOS)—are used, which not only reduce production costs but also increase the purity of the produced steel. Steel is one of the most widely produced materials by humans, with more than 1.6 billion tons manufactured annually worldwide. The strength of steel significantly increases with the amount of dissolved carbon; however, this increase in strength reduces weldability and raises the risk of brittle fracture. The strength of ferritic (ferromagnetic) steels has an inverse relationship with ductility. The combination of strength and ductility can be improved in modern multi-phase steels by stabilizing the austenite (paramagnetic) phase.
Rebar
Introduction of two types of tensile testing machines—servo-electrical and electro-hydraulic—for rebar tensile testing, rebar bending testing, rebar bend–rebend testing, axial fatigue testing, and hardness testing, in accordance with ISIRI 3132, ISIRI 8103, EN ISO 15630-1, ASTM A615, BS 4449, and ISO 15630-1.
These systems are used to evaluate ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield strength (YS), elongation percentage, modulus of elasticity, 180° bending, 90° bending and rebending, hardness testing, as well as service life and fatigue performance.
Bolts and Nuts
In the bolt and nut industry, tensile testing machines with various load capacities and specialized grips for holding bolts are provided in accordance with relevant standards. Impact testers and hardness testers are also supplied.
To evaluate the quality of bolts and nuts in different grades, high-quality laboratory equipment is required to perform various tests, including:
Tensile strength of raw materials (wire rod)
Axial tension test of bolts and nuts
Elongation measurement
Proof load test
Wedge test
Offset test
Bolt shear test
Testing of short and long bolts
Bolt–nut assembly testing
Bolt-only testing
Nut testing
Testing of special bolts such as automotive wheel bolts, rail bolts, etc.
All tests are conducted in compliance with the relevant standards: ISO 898, ASTM F606/F606M, ASTM A370, EN ISO 3506, and ISO 7961.
