This machine is intended to prepare impact test pieces; the specimen is clamped on the machine and pushed forward manually using a handle to mesh with rotary blade. The notch is cut when the specimen passes the rotary blade, then the polymer test piece is ready for impact test. Regarding the given certificate, the blade of hardness 55 RC is used to cut V notches 45º; according to data sheets, the blade can cut notches on steels of hardness 42 RC.
