SMV-200B is capable of carrying out pertinent tests consisting of three experiments. Mooney viscosity test is one of the most common tests in rubber industry, which is widely used to measure the viscosity of raw rubber and master/final compounds, and is generally used to determine and monitor the quality of these materials. Upon placing the test piece inside the dies, they should preheated  to a certain temperature; after passing the preheating  period, rotor starts spinning at 2RPM; then torque changes are registered, pertinent curves drawn and finally displayed in Mooney unit. Upon finishing the test, rotor stops and viscosity value is reported in MU. In stress relaxation test, the test is not over upon rotor stop, but the torque starts dropping the curve of which is exponential; Mooney values are recorded and its graph is drawn. All parameters such as a(MU/s), k(MU), A(MU*s), tx(%), Xy(sec), M(sec) are reported upon which professional analysis can be done. Mooney scorch testing or pre-vulcanization are generally used to measure scorch time or vulcanization safety (time required for forming the initial lateral connections in macromolecules) and vulcanization speed index. Rotor starts spinning without preheating time and display real time vulcanization and temperature curves; upon finishing the test, the pertinent parameters are reported regarding the type of rotor such as Min Viscosity, Tsc, Cure Time, and Cure Index. Working with this machine is so easy, but accurate results are obtained; all the test procedures are performed automatically. With a click, the test starts and keeps going until it is completed. When the test is over, the machine door opens automatically and the operator can remove the cured compound. Regarding the test type, there are two types of standard rotors, (with various diameters), which can be selected and mounted on the machine. For high viscose specimens with the probability of slippage through the dies, a small rotor is used because Mooney unit may go beyond the machine torque.
