The machine is designed to carry out easy and accurate static tests with low cost; it has a servo electrical operating system using ball screw (double columns), AC servo motor and driver. A high precision load cell, class 0.5 (0.5% error from the reading in a range of 2%-100% of load cell capacity) measures the force as per EN 10002, and ISO 7500 standards. It is equipped with a digital displacement sensor with no limitation in stroke, resolution 0.03µm in idle mode, precise displacement measurement better than 0.05mm during the whole stroke. The machine stroke with load cell and grips, regardless of the chamber, is 800mm, without grips 1000mm and the distance between the columns is 700mm. Different tensile, compression and bending and specialized grips can be mounted; types of fixtures and grips in lower capacities can be mounted in the chamber. Various low capacity load cells can be mounted on the machine to increase the measurement accuracy, immediately right after installation, the load cell is automatically recognized and all necessary settings will be performed. There is special software compatible with Windows XP used for test settings and displaying the reports, and carrying out tensile, compression, bending, creeping, cyclic, relaxation tests inside or outside of the furnace complete with other special capabilities as per specifications for STM series (software description is given in the catalogue). Load cell is calibrated by software and to do so, an extensometer is intended to facilitate the procedure. The chamber working temperature ranges from -20ºC to +100ºC. It is made of steel with temperature display, resolution 0.1ºC with heat uniformity ±0.5ºC and dimension (600*490*500mm) mounted on tensile and fatigue testing machines to study mechanical properties of materials under various temperature conditions. Capacity Control Technique is used in chamber design, and regarding the PID controller system, it can have a proper and constant operation for a long time at 20ºC. For this purpose, temperature sensor PT100, complete with PLC control system and HMI display are used.
