With servo-electrical operation, this machine controls loading via load cell feedback and precise displacement of the grips. Control accuracy is enhanced using AC servomotor and driver as the driving force, and the test is carried out with a wide range of speed control with high accuracy (0.001-1000 mm/min) through encoder feedback.

The load frame is designed to accommodate a wide range of grips and fixtures, enabling tensile, compression, bending, and other tests. The upper crosshead is displaced to increase the stroke. This specification ensures the test of specimens with significant elongation such as polyethylene (PE) pipes.

Precision load cells attached to the grips detects any load variations during the test procedure. The system is equipped with a 2000 Kgf S-type load cell, class 0.5, with a max. error of 0.5% of the reading within the range of 2%-100% of the load cell capacity, fully compliant with EN 10002, ISO 7500 standard (with an official SANTAM calibration certificate). Resolution: 1/100,000. This design minimizes machine error and ensures precise force measurement throughout the test.

A precision displacement sensor, with no stroke limitation, provides a resolution of 0.01 µm and an accuracy of 0.05 mm. This ensures stable speed control across a wide range of test speeds, enabling the operator to perform different test methods with high precision. The system also generates comprehensive reports and plots graphs for Force-Extension, Stress-Elongation, Force-Time, Time-Extension, Stress-Time, Elongation-Time tests.

Various high-resolution extensometers are other auxiliary tools used for measuring strain on the specimen accurately (instead of jack). For this purpose, the machine can utilize the SANTAM-developed software – STM Controller and JADOO Controller.

 

When using the JADOO software, the machine can either record displacement through the attached extensometer or operate in closed-loop control mode to precisely regulate the loading rate.

Another advantage of this machine is easy installation of various fixtures and specialized jaws using pin fasteners.
