Due to the use of AC servo motor and driver (closed loop control) and a robust gearbox for applying high torque, the machine can bend and re-bend the bars to the desired extent (max. 180º). By means of a PLC control system and a touch screen HMI display test speed can be set within the range of 0.001 RPM (0.006 Rad/min) to 10 RPM (62 Rad/min). Other capabilities of HMI are defining various tests, individual settings of torsional angles with high precision (in bending and re-bending), as well as drawing “torque-bend/re-bend angle” graphs In general, the machine has 25 adaptors with different sizes used for bending and re-bending; they are designed proportional to the rebar diameter and as per the latest ISIR 3132 standards, with 45-50 HRC hardness. The machine accessories consist of adaptors with different diameters for testing various rebar: plain rebar 240, spiral ribbed rebar 340, V-pattern ribbed rebar 400, combined ribbed rebar 500. In addition to the mentioned adaptors, a series of other supports are intended to grip the rebar while performing re-bend test, they are mounted in the proper place corresponding the rebar size. For more safety, the system is equipped with an automatic stop system to stop the machine in case of displacement or any unpredicted event.
