SAF axial fatigue testing machines carry out fatigue, durability, and lifetime tests on various specimens as per different procedures and standards including ISO 14242 and ASTM E1942, etc. They are intended to apply dynamic loads with sinusoidal, triangular, rectangular (with the ability to determine slope), saw-toothed, and random patterns that can assume the pertinent pattern within an amplitude of force, displacement, strain, and stress up to 100 Hz. Latest electronic hardware with high data acquisition, fast time response, best sensors and transducers, most accurate servo valves, real-time control system, powerful software with optimized control algorithm and data processing for all control modes, as well as hydraulic/ mechanical system design especially for long-term tests, enable SAF machines to implement and simulate the most real and diversified test conditions for practical fatigue testing of various parts.The mechanism and function of this type of machines is based on hydraulic servo valves, using high frequency DSP technology. Frequency response, sampling and control system is very high in this machine so that each 200 microsecond it receives feedback from all measuring instruments, and controls the machine in a closed loop system regarding PID control. In addition to usual fatigue tests, SAF-250 can carry out crack tests (initiation and propagation) as well. The unit has unique and advanced software (intranet connections with hardware via LAN port), capable of applying periodic loads with certain amplitude and frequency along with different waveforms, applying noise, offset, numerous applied cycles and determining storage cycles with the ability to change all test parameters online during the test as well as reporting all required outputs. SAF-250 is equipped with a cooling system (intercooler), and new plate heat exchanger with high efficiency for oil heat dissipation.
