- Design according to ISO 9513, ASTM E83 standards
- Measurement accuracy class “A” according to ASTM E83 standard
- Resolution: 0.0001mm (for the whole stroke)
- Test stroke: 800mm (can be increased upon request)
- Non-contact arms with the capability of automatic locking on the measurement length (gauge mark)
- Test can be carried out easily, and no conventional adjustment -as in laser and video extensometers- is required
- Non-contact grip with non-contact arms equipped with digital sensor tracker
- Non-contact extensometer has non-contact arms equipped with digital detection sensor
- Operating mechanism: servo electrical
- Capable of installation on tensile test machines to calculate the specimen percent elongation
- Capable of testing variety of specimen with high precision regardless of their material, length, and cross section
- Capable of automatic recognition and measurement of length gauge with no limitation in determining the distance
- RF remote control to adjust arms in 8 different modes
- Easy installation and operation, high repeatability and accuracy
The extensometer has 800mm stroke, resolution 0.0001mm during the whole stroke, accuracy 0.5% of the reading in a range of 0.5~10mm (minimum gauge length 15mm). The operating mechanism has two independent systems servo motor, linear guide, ball screw, and encoder with feedback control system from the gauge length. It also consists of electronic and software system to adjust the position of arms, real time displacement display, as well as entering the system parameters. Since this is a non-contact extensometer, it has many advantages in comparison with clip on, long stroke, image processing, laser, and robotic extensometers such as:
•No damage to extensometer in case of breakage or failure of the parts and pieces (specially in metal specimens)
•The lack of arm force effect on test piece (specially in thread and film specimens)
•Precise measurement of length value from the beginning of test up to the end
•Capable of testing on a wide range of specimens (regarding their material, cross section, gauge length, and test stroke)
•No need to specialized and time consuming adjustments as laser and video methods
This machine is intended to measure accurate displacement or strain on the specimen; it has a wide range of application in tensile and compression tests on flat and round metal and non-metal specimens during the whole stroke automatically. No attachment to specimen is required.
