To ensure accurate and repeatable impact test results, the specimen must be free from cracks or defects before notching, and the machined notch must comply with the specified depth, angle, and root radius requirements.<br \/>\nDuring operation, the specimen is securely clamped on the machine stage and precisely positioned using a three-axis adjustment mechanism (X, Y, and Z). The notch depth is accurately adjusted and verified using a height adjustment mechanism (bolts) equipped with a dial gauge with a resolution of 0.01 mm, ensuring precise notch preparation.<br \/>\nThe machine is equipped with a transparent Plexiglas safety guard to protect the operator from cutting chips and accidental specimen ejection.
